Plot:

Christmas is just around the corner and with it the time for good deeds. So the "Angel of Kaltenthal" is back and is blessing those in need with anonymous financial blessings. For the wealthy widow Sonja Berger, the days bring pure excitement. In the newspaper she discovers a picture in which she suspects her missing childhood sweetheart Thomas is: apparently he works as a city guide in Fatima. To find out, she asks Sister Hanna to accompany her to the Portuguese pilgrimage site. Although the sister is in the middle of preparing for the celebration for the war orphans, she finally agrees to the unusual pilgrimage - especially thanks to the persuasive skills of Mayor Wöller, who surprisingly offers his escort. What no one knows: the city leader donated the 50,000 euros in donations for the war orphans for a new shooting range - with the next elections firmly in mind. The deal with the widow Now Wöller is in a tight spot, but is hoping for a deal with the widow: a generous check for his help. With heart palpitations, Sonja Berger is looking forward to seeing each other again after more than 50 years. But the meeting is more than disappointing. On the one hand, Thomas still hasn't gotten over the fact that Sonja married another man, and on the other hand, the death of his wife and the break with his son have made him hard. But Sonja doesn't give up that quickly and causes turbulence with her persistence in wanting to help Thomas' family. As a result, Sister Hanna and Wöller end up going from one adventure to the next and even become involuntary allies.
